ARTIST’S BIO Bob Cauley was born in Langdale, Alabama, May 9, 1960. His paternal grandparents, living in the small town of Ruleville, Mississippi, raised him until the death of his grandmother in 1971. At the tender age of eleven, he was alone and on his own. He has traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. He has had occupations from farmer to business manager. In 1998, Bob decided to try creating his own works of art. He has experimented and used many different Medias. But his personal preference is oil on canvas. Bob has been primarily inspired and influenced by Jackson Pollock and the Impressionists. He has devoted countless hours of reading, studying, experimenting, trial-and-error, and hard work o creating his artworks. Bob has been in twelve solo shows and thirteen group shows since 2001. He participated in six juried shows. In his second juried show, he had won an AWARD OF EXCELLENCE. In his third juried show, he acquired the BEST OF SHOW award. During his fifth juried show, he was presented with the JUDGE’S CHOICE AWARD. In the last juried show Bob participated in he was given the award of SECOND PLACE. In a short time, Bob has become an accomplished artist in his own rights. Bob currently lives in Hugo, Oklahoma with his wife. They share their home with their babies, eight Pomeranians. His plans for the future involve improving and upgrading his art skill and technique. He also intends on exhibiting his art as often and frequent as possible. |
