Buxadó for exploring and documenting my work. This single-scholar research project was performed with limited resources by using previous experience in other fields of knowledge. Obstacles that he faced in provenance research, the challenges of compiling an accurate catalogue raisonné, and goals of the project are also explained in a work that undoubtedly received the benefits of four academic reviewers as referees, and the editorial work of Judy Dyki, Editor-in-Chief at Art Documentation, and Director of the Cranbrook Academy of Art Library (http://www.cranbrookart.edu/library).

Art Documentation is the Journal of the Art Libraries Society of North America. This publication deals with issues of concern to librarians working within art history, art criticism, the history of architecture, archaeology, and similar areas. Art Documentation has established itself as a vital publication for art information professionals, acting as a forum for issues relating to both the documentation of art, and the practice and theory of art librarianship and visual resources curatorship. The editorial staff includes qualified persons from Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bryn Mawr College, California Rare Book School, Institute of Fine Arts, Fermley Press, The Frick Collection, Bibliothèque Nationale de France, San Diego Museum of Art, and Nova Scotia College of Art & Design.

This publication was printed at the Journals Division of the University of Chicago Press (http://www.press.uchicago.edu) which publishes more than 70 journals and hardcover serials, in a wide range of academic disciplines, including the social sciences, the humanities, education, the biological and medical sciences, and the physical sciences. These journals deliver original, peer-reviewed research from international scholars to a worldwide audience. Many of our journals were the first scholarly publications in their respective fields. This is a non-profit publisher which work is possible by private giving from generous individuals and foundations: Bevington Fund, Neil Harris Endowment Fund, and Susan Elizabeth Abrams Fund in History of Science.

The pleasures of authentication   Yesterday, I was surprized by an almost imperceptible press release, among hundreds of thousands that usually populate the information world, although decorated with the most subtle asymmetry. Times when I felt that I had been born just to enjoy the most luxurious pleasures of aesthetics, to become into artworks all that I couldn´t sing nor to writ

Crossing the old paradox   This real story crosses the interface between parallel universes of the human creation. Havana’s Sunday use to be a quiet day when people visit friends, family, and spiritual leaders of our more than 400 religions. Last Sunday was different for me, because a scientist had told me, a day before, that I had lost my time reading critical assessments o

Warning to collectors, galleries, and auction houses   A few months ago, I started to receive a significant amount of phone calls asking me for authenticity of my artworks. In most cases, the pieces were never painted by me, but all they had been sold as mine. I mean, approximate imitations of my signature were included in an undetermined amount of paintings, and were sold to private collectors. The fo
