Charles Wallis has been producing fine art since his first studies in
high school.   He is a graduate of the Baylor University  art program
as well as the Famous Artists Schools correspondence course during high school.

After college he opened a graphic design studio beginning his career as a professional

artist and taught graphic design courses at Baylor University.

He grew and developed the design studio servicing clients across
the country for nearly 15 years.  He focuses his attention on portraits,

wildlife and southwestern landscapes using watercolor, oils or acrylics.
He has painted many portraits for family, friends and clients as well.

In 2008 he showed three of his paintings in the 10th Annual International

Landscape Exhibit with the Upstream People Gallery.

November 1, 2009 five of his paintings were shown
in the 11th Annual Painting, Drawing, Photography and Print
International Exhibition.  These painting are Buffalo Spring,
High Meadow Grizzly, Land of Enchantment, Red Appaloosa
and Red Shawl.

March 6 to April 18 "Buffalo Spring...coming of age" will be hanging
in the juried exhibition Western Spirit Art Show at the Old West
Museum in Cheyenne Wyoming.

While versatile in many forms because of his design studio experience

his first love is realism in paintings of all subjects.  Charles is a native Texan

but has lived in Arizona as well which has influenced his work.
