Since I remember I have had a vital need for colour, light and nature. After long grey years I turned towards the magic of colour: first in creating gardens, then in painting. I did take painting lessons a couple of years, but I consider myself basically self taught. I am searching and will always do so. Quite a number of my floral paintings found amateurs. For a year now I got interestd in landscape, at the beginning inspired by the beautiful colour in Australian landscape and, at the same time by a copy of a Monet painting I fell in love with: my eyes and brush got freer. I too have a great admiration for Kurt Jackson, an English painter. He paints very colourful landscapes near abstract in mixed media. I do not pretend to paint ever like him! But I feel his eye when I look at his paintings. The cycle'colours of our earth' is not finished, it is a new approach in my painting, trying to free eye and arm using the brush!
