Art has been a part of my existence since early childhood. Painting is my passion, but as we all know, sometimes life gets in the way. For many years I made my living and my art in photography and darkroom work. Thankfully the digital age rescued me from all of that. For the next 10 years, I designed clothing and costumes for theatre, film and ballet. Finally, I found myself in the fortunate position of pursuing the paint! Fortunately, I am in the Washington DC area, giving me access to the educational facilities at the Art League in Alexandria and Gallery 222 in Leesburg. After a lot of classes by excellent teachers, Kurt Schwarz, Diane Tesler, Michael Francis and others, here I am! I continually work on my skill, through workshops, plein air painting, and my small blog paintings which I try to accomplish daily, but again, sometimes life gets in the way. www.coffeeandapainting.com
I have had a lot of opportunity. My work has been in many juried shows, some group shows, and even a solo show. I even have a few collectors and awards. If you are interested, let me know and I'll provide you with details. Otherwise, I won't bore you.
Thanks for joining me on this part of the journey. I hope you will keep in touch and see what's next. You may purchase any of my works from www.glynisberger.com
