;Artist Bio ;Habib Ayat was born in Tunisia. His homeland has always been a favored destination of many well known artists like Paul Klee and August Macke. ;Film makers have also chosen Tunisia as the backdrop to famous movies including “Star Wars†and “The English Patient†which were both shot in the South of the country. ; Habib had his bachelor degree from the Faculty of Letters, Art & Human Sciences, University of Susa, Tunisia located on the Mediterranean Sea. ;Since his youth, he has had a passion for art and has been intensely active in his artistic development. ; Habib Ayat works in acrylics, oils pastels, and mixed media blending his colors to create softness in his pieces. He depicts a number of subject matters—from figuratives to abstracts. Combining old-world subjects with contemporary impressionistic technique, he produces a modern appeal that is both innovative and commanding. In his work, colors stand as a real subject by creating a new tool of communication and expression; ‘the language of colors’ gives insight into himself through his brushwork and use of color. ;The talent and charisma of Habib Ayat has made him a fast favorite among collectors. His works can be found in collections around the world (United States, New Zealand, Australia, France, Italy, Indonesia, Germany, Bahamas ....) ;Habib studied in the Art Student League of New York, one of the very well established schools in the States and the world. It has been attended by many famous artists such as Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko ...) ;He is now residing and working in the United States and he is an active member in many art organizations, such as the Organization of Independent Artist in New York City ; |
