All the work here is my original art, although you may notice that elements of some pieces have been inspired by certain artists. My art features bold designs and bright colours with paint thickly applied, an 'impasto light' style using, usually, acrylic paint. The essence of art is freedom, and I hope that you will take an indulgent view and find something that you like in my gallery.
I do not currently sell prints of my work so each piece is a one-off and is unique – no other person has any piece of art which is exactly the same!

I can provide a wide range of other products featuring my art such as posters, mugs, calendars, coasters, mousemats, placemats, t-shirts, stickers, greetings cards and so on. Technical Information
Unless otherwise stated, all my art comprises acrylic paint applied on gesso-primed canvas. Sizes are as stated on the individual items themselves. All pieces of art have been finished with two coats of gloss varnish to provide a protective coating and to enhance the colours used in my paintings. All items are signed and dated.
Payment for Purchases
I accept payment by Paypal; many customers find this to be the easiest and most secure method. You do not need to have a Paypal account to make a payment through Paypal – you can pay with your credit card without an account.
I will only ship an item once payment has cleared. If you have not paid within five days of being notified of the total order price (see Shipping and Postage below – I may need to confirm the total postage costs for your order to you) and there has been no contact, then I will consider the item not bought and will re-list the item.

For UK customers only, I will also accept payment by direct transfer to my personal current account. I prefer direct account transfers when dealing with UK customers and this avoids using a third party system. If you would like to pay by direct bank transfer, then please contact me using the contact details below and I can let you have the necessary account details.
Shipping and Postage
I usually ship by standard parcel post within three working days of cleared payment being received. I can send by other class or postage methods upon request.
Postage costs are in addition to the cost of the item and are, therefore, for the account of the purchaser. Postage costs for items dispatched to a destination in the United Kingdom are currently fixed at £5 per item. Otherwise, I will provide a quote for shipping to any other destination.
Copyright and Exclusivity
The entire copyright in each item of artwork appearing on, without limitation, the Artscad and Allartonline websites under the name of Oliver Johnston and/or in the Hysterie of Art gallery is retained by Oliver Johnston at all times throughout the world.
If and to the extent necessary by the laws of England and Wales and/or any other applicable jurisdiction, Oliver Johnston, the artist, hereby asserts his copyright in each item of artwork appearing on, without limitation, the Artscad and Allartonline websites under his name and/or in the Hysterie of Art gallery.
Accordingly, all my work is subject to copyright, and cannot be copied or resold in any form without my prior written permission, including after purchase (all rights remain with the artist).
Oliver Johnston and the Hysterie of Art gallery each retain the right to use any item(s) of artwork appearing on, without limitation, the Artscad and Allartonline websites under either of their names in any manner at any time and in any part of the world for the purposes of advertising and/or any other promotion.
