I don't really subscribe to the idea of an artists biography being essential - the work I produce is what is important. So I'll keep this brief. I am self taught and my sculptural work is based around ideas of maps. Maps represent landscape at a moment in time when the map was drawn. But the landscape itself can be thought of as a map of the events that have formed it - and this idea of 'event maps' is central to my work. I try to map events, ideas, feelings and my reactions to life. My works are maps of my identity: what it means to be me.
