Dear Viewers, I wanted to challenge myself by particiapting at an internaitonal level.  BECA Art Gallery is organizing such a once in lifetime online event for worldwide competition and I have submitted some of my works in it.  The decision of top ranking is to be done by votes.  I would greatly appreciate your valuable vote for my works, if you like it (initials RB)  Following are the details of the event as well as how you can participate in it. Title of art 2. Title of art . . . . 10. Title of artwork Your name and mailing address RULES HOW TO PARTICIPATE:   To participate in the selection process, you must be 18 years of age. Step 1: Visit http://www.becagallery.com/gallery/12562/CURATE%20THIS! beginning June 18th and ending at 8pm CST on June 21st. Here you may view a slide show of the works submitted (user controls are located at the bottom of each image that allow you to fast forward, pause or reverse). Step 2: Select your top 10 works by emailing the TITLE of each of your chosen works (in order of preference 1-10) to becagalleryadmin@gmail.com. Only one vote indicating 10 selections per person is allowed. In order to prevent multiple voting, you MUST supply your name and mailing address along with your vote. We respect multiple households but if we notice many names/emails associated with the same mailing address, those votes will not be included. Also, if your name is drawn to receive one of the complimentary 'CURATE THIS!' 2008 publications, this is the mailing address where it will be sent to so please do not list an address where you cannot receive mail. Your personal information will not be sold, rented or shared. Welcome to my online art gallery Artist Statement: I think of events and characters like a maze that come together at certain place and certain moment to form an eye catching, attention grabbing event. This event when matches my emotion, an art form gets born. [Page - Rajiv Bhamoo - 1Ko - 2008]

Background: Inspired by family of arts teachers, I started on the route for painting at childhood.  I won some school competitions.  As a kid, I saw father do fabric paintings but I liked oils and acrylics that allow eye catching expressions, though I did not know these names then!  I was always inspired/intirgued by worldly events, issues, beauty, horror, inhumanity, love, show-off and any emotional characteristic shown by my characters.  This leads to putting an idea together and an art form gets born. Dedication: My work is dedicated first to my father and nxt to my painting guru mr. Robert Garden.  Click here to see Mr. Robert Garden's artwork.  Education: I am a self taught artist.  I started with some background in color mixing and layer techniques from a Master Artist.  I have found painting as a medium to connect with organizations that are working on issues close to my heart.  I plan to donate a good portion of my sales to these organizations. Styles: Since some of my paintings are based on observations, I specialize in modern and contemporary artwork.   I am very intrigued by Mosiacs.  Many of my existing and upcoming paintings will include abstract, symbolism, figurative, landscape and fine arts. Mediums: I like working with Acrylics and Oil paints.  I am good at sketches as well but have kept those for myself (not for sale, I am too attached to details that I bring out in sketches)  Thanks for taking time to look at my portfolio.
