Hello and welcome to this is my bio,
I am grateful I can see, create & share. I have reached a point in my life that if it is not God centered then it's really not that important.
When I was a little girl I used to visit my grandfather Sydney Nagley,
(may he rest in peace) a sculptor and great artist, along his walls hung strings with pencils where I could sit for hours drawing, many wonderful artist left their mark on the walls of his home.
His home was a place of self expression for which I am so grateful to have been exposed too.
My mother who is also a wonderful artist and now it is our hopes to combine some of our works, a project in the making, more to come - will keep u posted
I was born in a Cornwall 1957 but grew up in Montreal. Having lived in numerous places in Canada and the USA eventually I settled in Kensington Market a place I still refer to as home
though having recently moved to Hamilton Ontario, also known as the Hammer.
I have used art as healing both personally and professionally, as my background is in social services. I run a small private practice Coaching and Counselling and am also in the process of writing a little book. It is a warm feeling to know that my art hangs in homes, offices in other countries as well as my own country. The Holocaust pieces were used as a motivator in and during the Holocaust memorial week and used as an educational piece to spark emotion, discussion & written expression. I am inspired by life, what catches my eye, i recently developped a love for street photography, faces of those who are not posing for the lens are truly my favs. I have played with incorporating encaustic and digital photography.
I do hope you enjoy what you see.
