This past year I have painted a couple of pieces that have drawn alot of interest as of late. You can view them right her on ArtsCad. The pieces are as followed: "Oh Bottle of Wine and "Simply Hendrix".  Both of these pieces have been chosen by Ovation TV along with another piece titled:"The Head of Christ" to be possible canidates fo there new series called: "My Art". They are hoping to use these three pieces of work on air. That's some exciting news if I must say so myself.

I am currently working on  my largest commision piece as of date  for a customer out of Alabama. It is exciting and very time consuming at the same time.

I wish you all well and would like to invite you to visit my Gallery here on ArtCad.

[Biography - Troy David - 1Ko]

In 1969 Troy David VanVeldhuizen (Troy David) was born in Faribault, Minnesota, with an almost immediate love and interest for art. He credits this artistic passion to his maternal family's bloodline. As a child, Troy David won the "Keep North Dakota Clean" state poster contest, and was recognized for his efforts with personal praise from former North Dakota Governor, Art Link.

In high school, Troy David focused his artistic skills toward his insatiable interest for pastels. This medium, with its bright array of colors, flexible texture and wide range of manageability, reminds him of the playful chalks of childhood. As a college student, Troy David utilized his artistic skills by creating pastel  images of sports figures and selling them to classmates for extra spending money. It was in college, while earning a Bachelors of Science in Art Education at Dickinson State University, where art instructor and professional artist Lili Stewart, inspired Troy David to pursue creating with pastels.

Troy David credits his dramatic style and flair to a passion for color and good old "Rock-N-Roll" music, the sound often inspiring his creative soul as it beats through out the art studio in Lutz, Florida. Aside from his art, Troy David enjoys spending time with his family: wife Shilo, twin boys, Cannon and Taylor and the two family dogs, Chewy and Annabelle.

Troy David received a Professional Juror's Award at the 33rd annual Badlands Art Association Exhibition,in Dickinson, N.D. as well as the People's Choice Award at the Bismarck Art and Galleries Association's 2003 Fall "Autumn Artistry" Show, two Business cash Awards at the 46th annual Mandan Art Association Art Show,Spr/04,and one Business Award at the the recent 47th Annual Mandan, N.D.
