If you have a digital library of artworks then, you can display them to your customers where they are able to choose what suites them, order a copy, pay for it, receive it and you get your percentage from every sale without actually having to interfere with the sale process itself.

Direct Poster System (DPS) is a web-based picture library and e-commerce system, designed for professional photographers and copyright managers so that they can store, display, search and sell their images over the internet in galleries.
DPS is designed for use by demanding users and includes features for the management of larger commercial events and photo collections.
DPS solution is a completely integrated service that is managed through your web browser, making it possible for anyone with photographs to set about managing or selling them on the internet easily. No special technical skills are needed to use DPS, which was designed for photographers, library owners and event managers, not internet specialists.

Direct Poster System (DPS) concepts
|
The site can, if you want, sell, print and send reproductions of yours Artworks.
It require high resolution images, stored into the site.
When a customer will buy a print of your Artwork, the site will use the high quality image to print and send it to the customer
The site will send to you a percentage of the amount paid by the customer within one month.
The Poster price is computed from the poster size and the percentage of copyright fee (each Artist define one percentage of copyright fee for all the posters)

Customizing the Direct Poster System (DPS)
|
You can do this in just couple of simple steps.
Log in into your gallery management section
Go to your management bar and hit “sales options” tab
From the bar that will appear, choose “direct poster system (DPS)”
Define the percentage to receive, computed from the price of the Reproduction
The price of a poster is : Base Poster Price (depending of the size choosen by the buyer) + Base Poster Price * Artist Percentage + Shipment
Example : Base Poster Price is 50$ and artist percentage is 25% , shipment is 7$ : The buyer is paying : 50 + (50*25%) + 7 = 50 + 12,5 + 7 = 69.5$ - the copyright fee is 12.5$ |
Images Format

In the Artwork form , enable "Direct Poster System (DPS) "
The image format must be JPG
The image file must be larger than 900 Ko (Almost 1Mo, or 1 Million Bytes)
The number of pixels must be larger than 3 millions (3 MegaPixels), for example 1750x1750 pixels
Use a JPG compression factor to reduce the file size below 3 Mo

Limited editions

When a reproduction is sold , the Artist is notified by Email. the Artist have to send a numbered certificate to the buyer.
In the Artwork form, indicate the total number of editions.

Image Quality
|
The quality of the high resolution images is required for a great customer satisfaction
The poster size is large, and all details must be sharp.
Always send the original picture, with a medium JPG compression factor.
Always verify the quality of the detail (zoom 500%)

Conditions for using the Direct Poster System (DPS)
|
- Seller must fill entirely their information form
- Seller must provide at minimum JPG file, 1800x1800 pixel or 3MP photo size, and a file larger than 900Ko
- Seller must be the owner of the copyright of the photograph uploaded and must have the right to sell the right for publication of this photograph.
- Seller must legally confirm that this photograph is not by any means sold or rented to any third party.
