My thinking… is my feeling  by Héctor Olvera

Pondering on this uninterrupted inner talk with my self, present in me since my first awakenings, which is at the same time a self-remembering factor of never sleep bounded to my existence and a link of the balance between my external world around and my ruling inner world.

Today, in the autum of my existence is so obvious as it was at the beginning of this adventure of living.

This is how this inner talk starts in all time with no distinction from my inner I or from my visible and reasonable external to me I, and is that divine spark that never dies, my I Am, who prevents to be charged to one or another side. Here and with this, arises with all its strength and unshakeable will, my inner talk and my I Am sees without seeing what is hidden for those who sleep and I see what is liberty all about, sees that liberty that we all have right and it is to escape from the prison where all prisoners do the same things over and over. I transfer the scene to my beautiful paintings, and it is beside the point clear to me, the subtle line dividing what it is from what it seems to be. What is liberty from libertinism. The art of pornography.

Like this, my I Am with tears of blood, of that Holy Hambledozin filling the sanguineous torrent of the external body to me, conlcudes what is conclusive and says in its indescriptible language for the world: “Libertinism is to do what whe want, believeing that being free is autocomplacence”. “Liberty is to do what we must do, whether it likes us or not, is to be free to act and decide without expecting to be pleasant for the others, in fact, without expecting anything, only acomplishing our duty”.

It cuts right and with strength and continues: “Art is a universal language that emulates the Divine, it is directed to touch the most inner parts of the
Being, it unites us and it makes us brotherhood”. “Pornography on the other hand, far from emulating the highness, degrades humanity and it is directed to the lower parts of the external man and it pretends to use him, manipulate him and abuse him”.

Here, for you, not for me, I stop my thinking, leaving this testimony of who I Am.

     With my open heart.

Héctor Olvera

Héctor Olvera "Etor"

at Latin Visions: Sensual & Erotic Artwalk,
Puerto Vallarta. September 2005.

The Latin Visions event was originally created by the  Lifestyles organisation and the XArt Gallery from Los Angeles CA, as an effort to show the erotic artworks of world visual artists in all categories.

Maestro Héctor Olvera was invited by the organisers and the XArt gallery directives, Luis y Theresa de la Cruz so the people of Lifestyles and the town of Puerto Vallarta could meet his art and his WorkCon los organizadores en el corte de listón.

The City Hall of Puerto Vallarta was the place for the official presentation to the media and the public of the Latin Visions event , where the organisers asked Maestro Héctor Olvera to talk to the crowd, he was grateful to the organisers and to Puerto Vallarta's public and said "erotism and sensuality are present in our lives, since we get up in the morning, get dressed, trying to look atractive, we do that -maybe without conscience of it- because we are sensual", he also said "for example, when a man goes walking down the stree and sees a beautiful girl, he stretches his abs". We insisted in we have to accept our sensuality as it is, like something living and it is always present , it is in fact something bound to our nature.

Besides he recognized the effort of all the participating artists who work with art as a medium to express the reality of socitey and culture of the actual world.

On interviews with the media, he spoke about his Work in general, how all his expression is part of what he Teaches, "I chose woman to express mi feelings and inner states, for it is the most beautiful of the creation, the woman", he added,  "my Work is not pornography, it is my own experiencies what I try to transmit". Maestro Héctor sets the difference between art and pornography, pointing that art is a universal language evoking the divine, unites and sets brotherhood in humanity, without age nor time. Pornography in the other hand tends to manipulate and abuse of the human being. He also explained the distinction between liberty and libertinism. Saying "the first is to do what we must we like it or not, independent of what is accepted or rejected, libertinisim is to do what we want, self pleasing, something like an imitation of pleasure because when it is done people think that pleasure is taking advantage of the others". He spoke about many artists that use imitation or fall into bad taste just to call the attention of the people or to be accepted for the others or simply because they don't dare to express what they have inside. He added: "art also can be prostituted"

In a extraoficial talk with the organisers, Maestro Héctor talked about his work as a musician, writer and founder of a School for the inner growth of human being, he explained about his objective with painting and expressing himself, he even played live one of his songs with local musicians.
