This little church is located on Cty Rt A11 near Tehama, California. I spotted it on my way to buy Alfalfa bales from a local farmer. It didn't take long to do a quick assessment, eliminate distracting details, and capture the essence of the place. I painted quickly and added the "bulging" effect to give the impression that this church is full of life, song and hope when it is in use. The clouds were rendered to enhance that effect. The colour of the church is really white, but I added new brightness and cheerfulness to the exterior as well, because the impression I got was that this is a joyful place for the people who visit.

I also used creative license to add the 38 Buick and my dog, Chili, who loves going for a ride to the Alfalfa farm.
