NEW YORK, NY – The Agora Gallery (530 West 25^th Street, Chelsea, New York, NY, 10001) is pleased to present A NYC Art Show: Figuratively Speaking, In Reverie of Form, and The Revelry of Energy.  Scheduled to run from January 6, 2009 through January 27, 2009 (Reception: December 18, 6 to 8pm), the latest exhibition from Chelsea’s Agora Gallery brings together a stunning array of talented artists from around the world. Figuratively Speaking exposes issues of conflict and resolution; juxtaposing abstraction and realism with existential themes that speak of the human condition.  While seeking a similar contemplation, the artists featured in The Revelry of Energy are crafting a very personal artistic language and technique.  Modern in their appeal, the abstract paintings’ brilliant colors and unique styles explore the artists’ individual narratives and visionary experiences.  In Reverie of Form sees artists experiment with unusual materials and styles, eerily beautiful sculptures have been paired with soulful portraiture and sprawling landscapes.  This impressive selection of artists will thrill audiences looking to explore the abundant variety of the contemporary art scene.
