Guy Brauns was born in Brussels.
He studied decoration and publicity and then pursued his artistic learning (monumental painting) at La Cambre under the famous Belgian painter Paul Delvaux.
His professional career is rich and diversified.
He started in a 3D advertising agency in the creative department before being promoted to advertising manager, working on site for the advertisers.
Very soon after, he founded his own photo studio and also simultaneously integrated graphic and industrial designing (working for various corporate entities such as stores, offices and even the interior design of the Belgian railway carriages) as well as fashion photography in his activities.
Guy has also spent a number of years in the educational system, teaching photography and advertising techniques.
In an another stage of his career, he set up a graphic art studio (digital techniques of image treatment) that specialized in the production of communication support for major model agencies in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Dallas, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, New York, Miami and Paris.
During this period, he developed his activity as a painter and, in parallel, initiated a research into the latest digital techniques of image treatment.
The results of his research has allowed him to move from pure and straight photography of female models to painting the same models in a way that their bodies, sometimes totally naked and others draped in somewhat mysterious cloth, express not only a magnified beauty but also intense life, at the edges of elegant and subtle eroticism.
For the last few years, Guy has devoted his time exclusively to painting.
His work has been shown in Belgium (Antwerp, Brussels, Knokke, Gent, Dinant and Liege), China (Shanghai), France (Lyon, Monaco and Paris), Japan (Fukuyama, Osaka and Tokyo), Singapore, Korea(Seoul) The United States (Los Angeles, Miami and New York) and Turkey (Istanbul).
