Overcoming

Motherhood

 The works of Anatoly Turovsky
Purchase of artwork I am currently trying to get rid of two large sculpters, Harmony If you are willing to take either one or both of them, all you need to do is pay transportation costs (or pick them up).

I am a sculptor and painter, as well as poet and fiction author (in Russian). I was born in the Ukraine in 1926 (back when it was part of the Soviet Union), and went to the Leningrad Art School and later the Kiev Institue of Art.  I was a member of the USSR Artists' Union (which was not easy for someone like me, who specialized in nude female statues and still-lives).  In 1979 I came to the United States in 1979 and have been residing in New York ever since.

I have participated in numerous exhibitions over the course of my life.  Currently, I am working for my own pleasure, as well as fulfilling occasional orders for oil portraits.  I am looking for a good home for my statues:  my apartment is way too small for them!

Among his teachers I count Phidias and Aristide Maillol. I pride myself on being able to marry tradition and modernity.
